Deafness in Algeria is a reality. It is on an increasing curve. It is taking on alarming proportions. Every year there are new cases of people suffering from hearing loss. Hence, the commitment of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security to follow very closely the care of categories with specific needs and in particular the care of the hearing aid in Algeria. Early detection of hearing loss in infants and young children plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal growth and development. Primary prevention eliminates half of the cases of deafness and hearing loss. Psychological support for the implanted child and in particular family support is essential in all cases during diagnosis, initial treatment and follow-up. La surdité en Algérie est une réalité. Elle est en courbe croissante. Elle prend des proportions alarmantes. Chaque année, on enregistre de nouveaux cas de personnes souffrants de déficience auditive. D’où l’engagement du Ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Sécurité sociale à suivre de très près la prise en charge des catégories aux besoins spécifiques et notamment la prise en charge de l’appareil auditif en Algérie. La détection précoce de la perte auditive chez les nourrissons et les jeunes enfants joue un rôle crucial pour assurer une croissance et un développement optimaux. La prévention primaire permet d’éliminer la moitié des cas de surdité et de déficience auditive. Le soutien psychologique de l’enfant implanté et notamment l’accompagnement familiale est indispensable dans tous les cas lors du diagnostic, la prise en charge initiale et le suivi. |
