المستخلص: هذا البحث يرد على بعض الطعون الموجهة من الإمام الذهبي إلى عقائد أحد أعلام أهل السنة الأشاعرة، وهو إمام الحرمين الجويني، وذلك من خلال ترجمته له في كتابه الكبير سير أعلام النبلاء، وتحديدا من خلال مسألة الاسترسال في العلم الإلهي التي تطرق إليها إمام الحرمين الجويني في كتابه البرهان في أصول الفقه، والتي وهم فيها المازري وغيره من شراح البرهان فزعموا أن إمام الحرمين الجويني يقول بنفي علم الله تعالى بالجزئيات، وتابعهم الذهبي على هذا الوهم. فجاء هذا البحث لتجلية هذه المسألة عرضا ونقدا، لبيان حقيقة موقف إمام الحرمين الجويني من هذه المسألة، وهل يلزم منها فعلا قوله بنفي علم الله تعالى بالجزئيات تفصيلا، أم لا؟ وبيان حقيقة كلام الإمام الجويني، وهل يسلم من النقد، أم لا، مستعينا في ذلك بما ذكره الإمام الجويني نفسه في البرهان، وبما ذكره المازري وغيره في شرح البرهان، وبما ذكره التاج السبكي رحمه الله في كتابه الطبقات الكبرى للشافعية حول هذه المسألة وغيرها. وقد جاء هذا البحث في مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة، المقدمة فيها أهمية البحث ومنهجه، وخطة الدراسة، والتمهيد فيه شرح مفردات العنوان، والفصل الأول فيه بعض من ثناء الذهبي على الجويني وقدحه فيه فيما يتعلق بالحديث، وعلم الكلام، والرد عليه، والفصل الثاني فيه عرض مسألة الاسترسال عند الجويني من خلال كلامه في البرهان، وكلام شراح البرهان. كالمازري والأبياري، بالإضافة إلى كلام الذهبي عن تلك القضية، والفصل الثالث فيه نقد أقوال الجويني في الاسترسال، وتلخيص جواب السبكي عن الاعتراضات الموجهة إليه من شراح البرهان، ثم تحليل عبارات الجويني عن هذه القضية ببيان مقصوده منها، ثم الاستدلال على تناهي الأجناس، وصياعة الدليل صياغة منطقية. وأخيرا الخاتمة، وتحدثت فيها عن أهم النتائج والتوصيات. منهج البحث: المنهج التكاملي (الاستقرائي- التحليلي- النقدي- المقارن)

This research responds to some of the attacks directed by Imam al-Dhahabi to the beliefs of one of the Ash'ari Sunni scholars, Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayni, through his biography of him in his great book, Siyar A'lam al-Nubala, and specifically through the issue of the continuity in the divine knowledge that Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayni addressed in his book Al-Burhan in the Fundamentals of Jurisprudence, in which al-Mazari and other commentators of al-Burhan were mistaken and claimed that Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayni denied the knowledge of God Almighty of the particulars, and al-Dhahabi followed them in this mistake. This research came to clarify this issue in presentation and criticism, to show the truth of the position of Imam al- Haramayn al-Juwayni on this issue, and whether it actually necessitates his saying that Allah Almighty has no knowledge of particulars in detail, or not? And to show the truth of Imam al- Juwayni's words, and whether they are free from criticism, or not, using in that what Imam al-Juwayni himself mentioned in al-Burhan, and what al-Mazari and others mentioned in his explanation of al-Burhan, and what al-Taj al-Subki, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned in his book al-Tabaqat al-Kubra of the Shafi'is about this issue and others. This research came in an introduction, a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction contains the importance of the research, its methodology, and the study plan, and the preface contains an explanation of the terms of the title, and the first chapter contains some of al-Dhahabi's praise of al-Juwayni and his criticism of him in relation to hadith, theology, and the response to him, and the second chapter presents the issue of al- Juwayni's rambling through his words in al-Burhan, and the words of the commentators of al-Burhan. Like Al-Mazari and Al- Abyari, in addition to Al-Dhahabi's words about that issue, and the third chapter contains a critique of Al-Juwayni's statements about the digression, and a summary of Al-Subki's answer to the objections directed at him by the commentators of Al-Burhan, then an analysis of Al-Juwayni's expressions about this issue by clarifying his intention from it, then the evidence of the finiteness of the genera, and the formulation of the evidence in a logical formulation. Finally, the conclusion, in which I talked about the most important results and recommendations. Research Methodology: The Integrative Method (Inductive- Analytical- Critical- Comparative).
