المستخلص: The phenomenon of grazing and nomadism in southeastern Morocco during the French colonial period witnessed profound socio-spatial transformations, especially for the famous nomadic tribes at the time, whose pastoral area the French colonizer tried to narrow and exert more pressure on in order to subject them to his political and territorial influence through a qualitative colonial policy. The return of the nomadic south-east was not the product of the colonial period, but extended for decades. Especially during the nineteenth century, which marked the period of extensive settlement of the nomads of Ait Khabash, who, along with their brothers, the nomads of Dhu Manea and Ouled Jarir, contributed to the recovery of the oases of the southeast in general and the oasis of Tafilalet in particular. However, the invasion of these tribes will have the greatest impact in changing the travel routes, and pushing the herds towards pastures far from the border areas, although this is limited to the travel of Ait Khabash, it has never been able to eliminate the nomadic phenomenon in the southeast of the country.
