The French occupation of Algeria in 1830, caused strong reactions in the Makhzen-Moroccan as in the population, everything revolved around the fight against the aggressor and to keep the mujahideen like Abdelkader and Bouamama. And after the refuge of the last one in Morocco, the resistance continued in Tifelt the eastern regions of the Southeast, it is these tribes which had the firm resistance and especially the tribes of the Moroccan- Algerian border and Tifelt and the Oasis South-West. Among the most resistant tribes were Daoui-Mania and Oulade-Djerir, who launched an attack in Rezzou, Tifilet in 19041905- against the French colonial forces in Timbuktu. Where did Daoui-Mania and Oulade Djerir come from? How did they organise this haraka (movement) and what were the consequences?
