المستخلص: The current study aims to reveal the relationship between the reality of the metacognitive beliefs of the students of the University of Ghardaia during the quarantine period, as well as to study the differences in light of the variables: gender, social status, economic level. The study also attempted to reveal the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and the emergence of obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms through a group of (93) university students. In a descriptive way. The study hypotheses were verified using the following tools: Metacognition Questionnaire and Obsessive Compulsive Scale. After collecting and processing the data statistically, we concluded that there are no differences in metacognitive beliefs due to gender, social status and economic level among a sample of Ghardaia University students during quarantine. As well as the existence of a difference in metacognitive beliefs based on the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder among a sample of Ghardaia University students during quarantine. And we found that metacognitive beliefs are related to the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder in the sample.
