|a تتناول هذه الدراسة مصطلح التثقيل بوصفه مشتركًا لفظيًّا، تختلف دلالاته باختلاف مواضع استعماله ومواطن إطلاقه عند القراء. ذلك أن التثقيل يستعمل في سياق تشديد الحروف وتخفيفها مراداً به التشديد، وفي سياق هاء الكناية مراداً به الإشباع، وفي سياق ميم الجمع مراداً به الاشباع أيضًا، وفي سياق تحريك الحروف مراداً به الضم، ولبعض هذه الاستعمالات تعلق بالمعنى التفسيري للقراءات التي تختلف من جهتي اللفظ والمعنى. وقد اعتنت الدراسة بتعليل إطلاق التثقيل في هذه المواضع المختلفة من أبواب القراءات، وبالوقوف على نماذج من استعمالاته المختلفة عند القراء والمفسرين، كما اعتنت برصد علائق مصطلح التثقيل بغيره من المصطلحات، على اختلاف سياقات استعماله.
|b This study addresses the different connotations of the term "gemination", considering different places where it is used and uttered by the readers as a homonym. The study showed that "gemination" can be used in the contexts of stress and intonation, where the term "stress" is intended here. Moreover, in the context of "metonymy of the singular letter", the "vowel sound extending" is intended. Furthermore, in the context of "plural letter", what is meant is also "vowel sound extending" but with a different consideration. Then, in the context of "diacritical letters", the "nominative" is intended. Likewise, some of these usages are related to the interpretive meaning of The Quranic Readings that differ in terms of pronunciation and meaning. Eventually, the study focused on explicating the usage of "stress" in these different places in The Quranic Readings and mentioning examples of its different usages by the readers and interpreters, as well as clarifying the relationships of the term "stress" with other terms in its different contexts.
