|a كانت صحيفة الأهرام متابعة لكل الأحداث والتطورات على الساحة اللبنانية فوقفت موقف الرافض لكل ما يجري فيه من اقتتال بين الأخوة وقدمت مجموعة من التحليلات لما يجري حيث رأت أن اندلاع الحرب وتدهور الأوضاع كانت بسبب التناحر السياسي بين مختلف الأحزاب السياسية وبسبب التنوع الطائفي في البلاد بالإضافة إلى حملة من المساعي التي قامت بها بعض الأطراف الخارجية التي سعت إلى تحقيق مصالحها في لبنان حيث جاء في آخر الأعداد: لبنان نموذج مصغر عن الدولة العربية بجميع تناقضاتها وعجائبها لكن هذه التناقضات بمفردها لم تكن قادرة على إشعال الحرب الأهلية بكل ماجرته من ويلات ودمار وخراب فلبنان لا ينتج السلاح وليس فيه مصنع للقنابل فالسلاح المستخدم في سفك دماء العرب في لبنان جاء من الخارج مما يؤكد وجود أيدي خفية من الخارج هي التي فتحت خزائن السلاح لتشعل الحرب في لبنان وكلما هدأ الجو أو توقف اطلاق النار وقع حادث قتل مثل حادث السابع عشر من أيار عام 1975 أعاد إشعال الحرب مرة أخرى.
