The aim of this paper is to describe the characteristics and influences of fraud on controls in the field of social welfare. The paper presents descriptive results from intervention research, as part of a doctoral thesis. The approach adopted mobilizes cognitive interactivity and alternate immersion and distancing phases. The descriptive results show the hidden, evolutionary, multiform characteristics of fraud inherent to social services. These characteristics influence both preventive and corrective controls implemented. Finally, the paper leads to perspectives that will serve as a basis for the next explanatory and prescriptive phases of the intervention research.

Ce papier s’intéresse à l’étude des caractéristiques et des influences de la fraude sur les pratiques du contrôle dans le domaine de la prévoyance sociale. Elle revient sur les résultats descriptifs d’une recherche-intervention menée dans le cadre d’une thèse de doctorat. La démarche adoptée mobilise les principes d’interactivité cognitive et de distanciation-immersion. Les résultats descriptifs renvoient aux caractéristiques dissimulé, évolutif et multiforme de la fraude, intrinsèque aux prestations sociales. Ces caractéristiques influencent les contrôles mis en place aussi bien sur le plan préventif que correctif. Le papier débouche finalement sur des pistes de réflexion qui serviront les prochaines phases explicatives et prescriptives de la recherche-intervention.
