This research addresses the erroneous belief held by certain misguided individuals that Islamic legal theorists reject the report of Fatimah Bint Qais because of the non-prophetic hadith attributed to Umar Ibn al-Khattab, which is referenced in various Usuli texts. The claim posits that the two reports serve as instances in which some Companions denounced one another. This study elucidates the status of Fatimah Bint Qais among the companions, analyzes her report alongside that of Umar, discusses the jurisprudential implications associated with the report, addresses the criticisms leveled against it, clarifies the meaning of falsehood mentioned in it, and presents instances of scholars' use of Fatima’s report. This study, therefore refutes the misconception regarding the authenticity of the report’s wording and meaning.
