|a إن ظاهرة الفساد أصبحت من مشكلات العصر التي تمر بها المجتمعات وأصبح عائق على مؤسسات الدولة العامة والخاصة كونه يضرب اقتصاديات الدول ويدمر خطط التنمية الاقتصادية ويضعف السلطات السياسية لذلك تضافرت الجهود الدولية من أجل مواجهة هذه الظاهرة، فقامت الدول بإبرام العديد من الاتفاقيات الدولية والإقليمية المعنية بمواجهة الفساد ولعل أبرزها اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد 2003 والتي أصبح لها دور كبير في الحد من أثار هذه الظاهرة، ولم يقتصر جهود الدول على الاتفاقيات فحسب بل امتد ليشمل كل ما تقوم به المؤسسات والمنظمات الدولية من دور كبير في مواجهة الفساد والحد من أثاره.
|b The phenomenon of corruption has become one of the contemporary problems experienced by societies and has become an obstacle to public and private state institutions, as it affects the economies of countries, destroys economic development plans, and weakens political authorities. Therefore, international efforts have come together to confront this phenomenon. Countries have concluded many international and regional agreements concerned with confronting corruption. Perhaps the most prominent is the United Nations Convention against Corruption 2003, which played a major role in reducing the effects of this phenomenon. The efforts of countries were not limited to agreements only, but extended to include all the major role played by international institutions and organizations in confronting corruption and reducing its effects.
