المستخلص: هذا البحث يربط بين عبقريين من عباقرة اللغة، العجاج التميمي، راجز مشهور حفلت برجزه كتب اللغة، فكان رجزه مصدرا أصيلا من مصادر الاحتجاج في الدراسات اللغوية، وأبو الفتح ابن جني؛ إمام من أئمة اللغة ذوي الرأي السديد والفكرة الراجحة. عني ابن جني- كسائر اللغويين- برجز العجاج؛ لطرافته وجزالة ألفاظه، ودقة استعمالاته وفصاحته، واستشهد به كثيرا في الظواهر اللغوية المختلفة، فجمعت ما أورده في كتابه (سر صناعة الإعراب) وجعلته في خمسة مباحث، درست فيها مطالب لغوية في أحكام الزيادة والإبدال والتنوين والاشتقاق، موثقا ومرجحا ومدللا لكل رأي. وقد أبان البحث عن القيمة اللغوية لرجز العجاج، والعبقرية الفذة لابن جني التي تظهر في حسن استنباطه وتحليله، وهو بصري الهوى لا يجيز مخالفتهم غالبا، ولكنه قد ينطلق في فكرته من آراء بعض الكوفيين كالفراء وثعلب وبعض البصريين الذين أثروا المذهب الكوفي كالأخفش، فيجيزها ويذكر لها وجها يحسنها. ووجدت ابن جني متأثرا بكتاب "القلب والإبدال" لابن السكيت، مع قلة الإشارة إليه؛ فأوصي بأن تعقد دراسات موازنة بينهما، فقد كان- فيما أرى- مصدرا أساسا له في قضايا الإبدال والاشتقاق، يقول: "ونحن نعتقد إن أصبنا فسحة أن نشرح كتاب يعقوب بن السكيت في القلب والإبدال، فإن معرفة هذه الحال فيه أمثل من معرفة عشرة أمثال لغته".

This research connects two linguistic geniuses: al-Ajjāj Al-Tamīmī, a renowned poet whose verses have significantly contributed to linguistic literature, serving as a primary source for linguistic studies, and Abū al-Fath Ibn Jinnī, a prominent figure among the great linguists known for his sound reasoning and insightful ideas. Ibn Jinni, like many linguists, took a keen interest in Al-Ajjaj's poetry due to its originality, rich vocabulary, precise usage, and eloquence. He frequently cited it in various linguistic phenomena. The researcher have compiled the references he made in his book " Sirr Şanā'at al-I'rab " into five sections, examining the linguistic topics related to rules of addition, substitution, diacritics, and derivation, with thorough authentication, prioritization of opinions and evidence-based justification for each opinion. The research has revealed the linguistic significance of the poetry of al-'Ajjāj, as well as the exceptional genius of Ibn Jinnī. which is evident in his insightful interpretations and analyses. Although he is primarily aligned with the Basran school of thought and typically does not permit deviations from their views, he occasionally draws upon the opinions of certain Kufan scholars, such as Al-Farra' and Tha'lab, as well as some Basrans who have enriched the Kufan approach, like Al-Akhfash. He acknowledges these perspectives and provides justifications that enhance their validity. It has been observed that Ibn Jinnī was influenced by Ibn al-Sikkīt's work "Al-Qalb wa al-Ibdal" despite the limited references made to it. Therefore, the researcher recommend conducting comparative studies between the two books, as he believes that Ibn Al-Sikkit served as a fundamental source for Ibn Jinni regarding issues of substitution and derivation. He states, "We believe that if we have the opportunity, we should explain the book of Ya'qūb ibn Al-Sikkīt on substitution and derivation, for understanding this matter is more beneficial than knowing ten times his language".
