Abd al-Rahman bin Muhammad, known as al-Nasir li-Din Allah, followed the path of Abd al-Rahman al- Dakhil. He fought against the infidels and repulsed them with their anger. His entire term was jihad for the sake of God. He was never tired of fighting for the sake of God during his term of office, which lasted fifty years, during which he did not know a taste for rest. I found a handwritten manuscript. His hand says in it: The days of happiness that were cleared up for me without distress during the period of my rule on such-and-such day of such-andsuch month of such-and-such year. So those days came back; He found it there for fourteen days. Al-Dhahabi said about him in Siyar A’lam al-Nubala’: “Abd al- Rahman continued to invade until he established crookedness, straightened the country, established justice, and increased security. Then he sent an army to Morocco, and invaded Barghawata in the Salé district, and his word remained effective, and Sijilmasa, and all the countries of the qibla, and he was killed. Ibn Hafsun An-Nasr for the religion of God met his Lord after a life full of jihad for the sake of God, and he was seventy-three years and seven months old. He died on Wednesday, two nights during the holy month of Ramadan in the year 350 AH. His caliphate was fifty years, six months and three days. (Achievements , Abdul Rahman Al- Nasser , Umayyad , Andalusia ) Conclusion 1) Abd al-Rahman al-Nasir is considered one of the most powerful rulers of the Umayyad state in Andalusia, as his era witnessed victories and expansions of the state founded by his grandfather Abd al- Rahman al-Dakhil. 2) Abd al-Rahman al-Nasser was able to put down internal rebellions against the state’s authority, so he regained the state’s prestige and extended his authority over all parts of his state, after the state’s authority had been limited during the era of his predecessors to Cordoba and a narrow area around it. (63) 3) Abd al-Rahman al-Nasser was able to secure his state’s southern borders by controlling the ports facing Andalusia on the Moroccan mainland and providing material and military support to some Moroccan princes to repel the Fatimids’ efforts to expand westward (64) 4) Thanks to political stability and military gains, Andalusia flourished economically and militarily during the reign of Al-Nasser, which made Andalusia a destination for diplomatic missions from different countries seeking to court favor or request support from Abd al-Rahman al- Nasser (65) 5) Abd al-Rahman’s personality has been the subject of admiration for many Western historians. 6) During his reign, Madinat al-Zahra was built at the foot of a mountain called “Jabal al-Arous,” and its construction began and continued for nearly forty years, and Abd al-Rahman al-Nasser entrusted his son al-Hakam with the matter of supervising the construction of that city after him (66).
