المستخلص: اتبع الباحث منهجاً وصفياً معتمداً على كل من أسلوب المسح، وأسلوب العلاقات الارتباطية بهدف التحقق من أهداف هذا البحث، والتي تمثلت في الكشف عن طبيعة العلاقة بين التدريس الداعم للحاجة خلال درس التربية الرياضية وبين التحفيز الأكاديمي لدى الطلاب، وذلك بعد أن يتم الكشف عن مستويات كل من التدريس الداعم للحاجة والتحفيز الأكاديمي، وقد تحدد مجتمع البحث بطلاب المدارس الثانوية البالغ عددهم (8600) طالباً، هؤلاء الطلاب يمثلون (11) مدرسة ثانوية ضمن مديرية تربية قضاء المسيب، ومن ثم قام الباحث باختيار (368) طالباً منهم ليمثلوا عينة البحث الرئيسة، والتي قسمها الباحث بدورها إلى ثلاث عينات فرعية الأولى عينة الدراسة الاستطلاعية بعدد أفراد بلغ (18) طالب، والثانية عينة التحليل الإحصائي بعدد أفراد بلغ (210) طالب، أما الثالثة فهي عينة التطبيق النهائي بعدد أفراد بلغ (120) طالب، وللحصول على البيانات المطلوبة في البحث قام الباحث بإعداد مقياسين، المقياس الأول لقياس مستوى التدريس الداعم للحاجة خلال درس التربية الرياضية وعدد فقراته (13) فقرة، والمقياس الثاني لقياس مستوى التحفيز الأكاديمي لدى الطلاب خلال الدرس وعدد فقراته (12) فقرة، وبعد الانتهاء من الإعداد وتطبيق المقياسين على عينة التطبيق النهائي تم استخراج النتائج ومعالجتها إحصائياً.

The researcher followed a descriptive approach based on both the survey method and the correlational method in order to verify the objectives of this research, which was to reveal the nature of the relationship between teaching that supports the need during the physical education lesson and the academic motivation of the students, after the levels of each were revealed. Of teaching that supports the need and academic motivation, the research population was limited to secondary school students numbering (8600) students. These students represent (11) secondary schools within the Al-Musayyib District Education Directorate. Then the researcher selected (368) students from them to represent the main research sample, which the researcher in turn divided into three sub-samples: the first was the exploratory study sample with a number of individuals of (18) students, the second was the statistical analysis sample with a number of individuals of (210) students, and the third It is a sample of the final application with a number of individuals amounting to (120) students, and to obtain the data required in the research, the researcher prepared two scales, the first scale to measure the level of teaching that supports the need during the physical education lesson and the number of its paragraphs (13) items, and the second scale to measure the level of academic motivation among students during The lesson has 12 paragraphs, and after completing the preparation and applying the two scales to the final application sample, the results were extracted and processed statistically.
