المستخلص: تتبع هذا البحث معنى كلمة (تمحل) في كتب المعاجم، وكتب النحو، وكتب التفسير، وظهر من هذا أن التمحل احتيال واجتهاد وتحايل، وهذا الاجتهاد قد يكون مكايدة، أو مكرا، وقد يكون اجتهادا محمودا في إظهار غامض غير واضح، أو الخروج مما ظاهره قد يؤدي إلى اللبس، وتمحلات النحويين، أنواع: نوع اجتهد ووجه فأصاب، ونوع قارب الصواب، ونوع جانبه الصواب، وأظهر-أيضا- الفرق بين التكلف، والتمحل: إذ تدور كلمة تكلف حول الكلفة، والمشقة، والتصنع، والتجشم، وحمل الإنسان الشيء على نفسه وليس من عادته، بخلاف التمحل، فهو اجتهاد دون كلفة، وبناء على ذلك جاء البحث في مقدمة، وتمهيد، وثلاثة فصول، وخاتمة، وفهرس المصادر والمراجع، وفهرس المحتويات، واشتمل الفصول الثلاثة على ست عشرة مسألة، وضعت عنوانا مناسبا لكل مسألة، مع وضع النص الذي فيه التمحل في البداية، ثم قمت بتحليل النص، وذكر آراء النحويين في المسألة، ثم ذكرت في نهاية المسألة تعقيبا على ما سبق، ثم ذكرت في الخاتمة أهم النتائج التي توصلت إليها، ثم ذيلت البحث بفهرس المصادر والمراجع، وفهرس المحتويات، واتبعت في هذا البحث المنهج التحليلي، وكان من أهم نتائج هذا البحث: معرفة كلمة (تمحل)، ومناسبة ذكرها، والغرض منها، والسبب الذي دفع النحويين إلى هذا، وقد توصل البحث إلى أن التمحل هو اجتهاد من صاحبه الغرض منه توضيح، وتبسيط غامض قد يصعب فهمه على القارئ، أو توجيه أمر يحتاج إلى إعمال فكر وتدقيق نظر، وأن هناك فرقا كبيرا بين التكلف، والتمحل، وأن التمحلات ثلاثة أنواع: تمحل أصاب في موضعه، وتمحل قارب الصواب، وتمحل اجتهد ولم يصب، والحق أن طلاب العلم مدينون بالفضل لمن تمحل، فهم اجتهدوا وتفننوا ودققوا حتى تصل المعلومة وافية واضحة بسيطة إلى القارئ.

This research has tracked the meaning of the Word (Tamahul) in the books of references, grammar and interpretation. it has been Shown that Tamahul is scam, deligence and fraud and This fraud maybe deception or maybe approvable fraud in Showing ambigous which isn't clear, or getting out from its appearance that leads to confusion tamahulat of the grammarians are types: AKind work hard and directed, hence got Corrected(become right) Another kind who got neared to right and akind got further From right (got mistaken) Also, ,It has been shown the difference between affectation and Tamahul where the Word of affectation turn round Cost hardship, disguise, grimace and that man bears the Thing on Themselves Which isn't their habbit, unlike Tamahul which is fraud without charge(charge).According to this, the research has Come into three Parts (chapters) preceeded by a presentation, Introductory and followed by Conclusion and art indexes .The three Chapters have included Sixteen Sums. I put asuitable title to each sum with putting the text which includes Tamahul at first (in the beginning) then, I analysed the text and mentioned The opinions of grammarians in the Sum, then I mentioned. a commentary on what preceeded in the end of the Sum in the Conclusion, l mentioned the most Important results which I got to, Then I tagged The research with art indexes and followed the analysis way Curriculum in this research . The most important Consequences of this research are: 1- Realising The Word Tamahul, the occasion of it's mention, the Purpose of it and the reason which led the grammarian to this . 2 -The research deduced that Tamahul is fraud From its owner that the purpose from it is showing and Simplifying ambigous which the reader may find it difficult to understand or directing matter that needs to thinking and Scrutiny. 3 - there's a big difference between Tamahul and affectation. - Tamahulats are three kinds; Tamahul became right in it's position, Tamahul got nearer to right and Tamahul worked hard but didn't became true . in fact, the students (the researchers of science) owe gratitude to who Tamahul as they worked hard, created and checked so that information reaches the reader mastery, clear and simple.
