|b Legal holidays and absences are considered an exception to the rule of work for pay. The Algerian legislator has regulated rest days, legal holidays and authorized absences for the worker with the aim of regulating the employment relationship and ensuring the rights of that guarantee the worker’s comfort and health. It also stipulates the cases in which a worker may be absent in order to carry out an activity parallel to his work, which is considered an exception to the principle of not combining two jobs.
