المستخلص: في هذه المقالة، نقترح دراسة فيلم Minamata (2020) لأندرو ليفيتاس من منظور النقد الجغرافي والنقد البيئي. للقيام بذلك، سوف نستعير مفاهيم المرجعية والطابع البيئي، من أجل تحليل موضوع الأزمة البيئية، وعلى وجه التحديد تلوث الزئبق في مياه خليج مينا ماتا. هذا يسمح لنا بإعطاء معنى عميق لقضايا الكوارث البيئية، في هذه الحالة الجرائم البيئية والإبادة البيئية، وكذلك الإرث السام الذي ينبع منها، أثناء التفكير في المستقبل.

In this article, we propose to study the film Minamata (2020) by Andrew Levitas from the perspective of geocriticism and ecocriticism. To do this, we will borrow the concepts of referentiality and the ecological character, in order to analyze the theme of the ecological crisis, precisely the mercury pollution of the waters of Minamata Bay. This allows us to give a deep meaning to the issues of environmental catastrophe, in this case ecocrimes and ecocide, as well as the toxic legacy that stems from it, while thinking about the future.

Dans le présent article, nous nous proposons d’étudier le film Minamata (2020) d’Andrew Levitas sous l’angle de la géocritique et de l’écocritique. Pour cela, nous allons emprunter les concepts de la référentialité et du personnage écologique, afin d’analyser le thème de la crise écologique, précisément de la pollution des eaux au mercure de la baie de Minamata. Cela nous permet de donner un sens profond aux enjeux de la catastrophe environnementale, en l’occurrence les écocrimes et l’écocide, ainsi que l’héritage toxique qui en découle, tout en pensant l’avenir.
