|a هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التحقق من دور ترجمة جوجل على جودة الترجمة. لدى طلبة قسم اللغة الإنجليزية والترجمة. كما هدفت أيضا إلى توضيح مدى تأثير استخدام ترجمة جوجل من قبل طلبة اللغة الإنجليزية والترجمة على نتائج تعلمهم وجودة الترجمة، كما سعت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة الطرق التي يتم بها ذلك. ولغرض جمع البيانات الكافية، فقد استخدم الباحثون المنهج الكمي من خلال استبيان يتكون من 20 سؤالاً مغلقاً وسؤال مفتوح واحد تم توزيعه على 40 طالباً في الجامعة الوطنية وجامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا وجامعة القلم للعلوم الإنسانية والتطبيقية اليمن، مدينة (ب). وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن ترجمة جوجل أثرت إيجاباً على جودة ترجمة الطلبة، رغم أن لها بعض الجوانب السلبية مثل تقليل ميلهم للحصول على مكافئات دقيقة في اللغة الأم. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة استخدام ترجمة جوجل بحذر مع الانتباه إلى مخرجات الترجمة الخاصة بها.
|b This study aimed at investigating the role of Google Translate (henceforth GT) in the translation-majored students’ translation quality. It aimed to point out to what extent does the use of GT by translation students can affect their learning outcomes and translation quality, and if so, in what ways. To collect adequate data, the researchers used the quantitative method via a questionnaire consisting of 20 close-ended items and one open-ended question distributed to 40 students at The National University, University of Science & Technology, and Al-Qalam University for Humanities & Applied Sciences (Ibb City, Yemen). The results of the study showed that the GT had influenced students’ translation quality positively though it has some negative aspects such as reducing their tendency to have accurate equivalents in the mother tongue. The study recommended that GT should be used carefully with paying some attention to its translation outputs.
