المستخلص: This article presents the results of a survey conducted at the Faculty of Letters, Languages and Arts of the Djilali Liabes University in Sidi-Bel-Abbès (Algeria) with a group of hijabi students in order to analyse the social representation of the hijab they wear. In order to do this, we will proceed in three stages: after setting out the theoretical framework within which we will situate the present research, we will present the methodology we have borrowed from the social sciences, namely the questionnaire survey procedure, which we will also attempt to justify, and finally we will present the results we have obtained.

Nous nous proposons dans le présent article d’exposer les résultats d’une enquête que nous avons menée à la Faculté des Lettres, des Langues et des Arts de l’Université Djilali Liabes de Sidi-Bel-Abbès (Algérie) auprès d’un groupe d’étudiantes portant le hijab, en vue d’analyser la représentation sociale qu’elles se font du hijab qu’elles portent. Pour ce faire, nous procéderons par trois étapes : après avoir établi le cadre théorique dans lequel nous situerons la présente recherche, nous exposerons la méthodologie que nous avons empruntée aux sciences sociales, à savoir le procédé d’enquête par questionnaire que nous avons par ailleurs tenté d’en justifier le recours, pour enfin étaler les résultats auxquels nous sommes parvenus.
