إن منزلة المصاحف العظيمة معلومة من الدين بالضرورة، إذ هـــي وعـــاء كتابه العزيز، الذي أقامه خلفاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وصحابتـــه مــــن بعده، مع اتساع فتوحاتهم للأمصار المتعددة، وتعهدهم أهلها بنقل القرآن الكريم إليهم، كما تلقوه منه صلى الله عليه وسلم، ولذا يتناول البحث وجود المصاحف الأولى بلمحة تاريخية عن المرسل منها إلى الأمصار الإسلامية، ثم دراسة عددها في مدى بضع يبدأ بأربعة وينتهي بثمانية، ثم خصائصها وتنوع أحرف رسومها، وما ينشأ عن هذا معتمدا على مرويات الصحابة والتابعين، وما يقاربها من دلالات أخرى ونحوها، حول جمع القرآن ثم نسخه في عهد الخليفة عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه، وما هدف إليه وقام به عقب النسخ من تعميم إرساله إلى الآفاق، بصفته مرجعية رسمية نهائية، مبتناة على تدوينه الأول، بين يدي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. ويقدم البحث زيادة جلاء بتعدد مصاحف الأمصار التي تسخت في الجمع العثماني؛ قصدا من الآمر به عثمان رضي الله عنه إلى احتواء جميع القراءات الثابتة المتواترة، وتحملها الرسم الذي تقرأ به جميعها، تحملا جامعا مانعا، وبذات ما أقره وأقرأه الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، وذلــك بـــجــــــل مـــا تتنوع منها رسومه- مما يتعذر توحيده- موزعا على بضعة مصاحف؛ إقرارا بثبوت قرآنيتها جميعا فيها، وهذا هو المقصود الأول. ثم ما ترتب على اقتران كل مصحف منها بمقرئ حاذق ضابط موجه لأهل المصر، من إحكام هذا العمل الجليل إحكاما دقيقا- هدفا آخر ضروريا فانقطع احتمال الاختلاف والفتنة فيه نهائيا، وهذا مع تمايزه المنضبط المنحصر بإحكام نقله وضبطه، لفظا وخطا، وصفته الروايات المتواترة وصفا غاية في الدقة وأمانة النقل وصحة الرواية، فأدت المصاحف العثمانية دورا أعظم في تاريخ الأمة، أن لم نقل: بل في تاريخ العالم كله، منذ انتشرت في أصقاعه، وإلى اليوم وبعده.
The status of the Mushaf (the binded book form of the Quran) is undeniably known in the religion of Islam, as it is the book form of God all Mighty’s Quran. It is preserved by the successors of the Prophet of God, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions after him despite their numerous conquests of various lands. Its people pledged to adopt the Noble Qur’an as they received it from the Prophet, peace be upon him. Therefore this research deals with the existence of the first Mushafs with a historical glimpse of the Mushaf’s sent to the Islamic provinces, then studying their number (ranging from four up to eight), its characteristics and the diversity of its letters and script, and what arises from these differences. This is based on the narrations of the companions, the following generation, and other similar evidences from the collection of the Qur’an and its duplication during the reign of Caliph Uthman Ibn Affan, may God be pleased with him, and what he intended and did by circulating copies of the Mushaf around the region, in his capacity as an official final reference, based on its first codification in the presence of the Prophet, peace be upon him. The research fortifies its evidence by presenting a number of Mushafs that were copied in the Uthmani compilation with the intention compiling all the unanimously agreed upon recitations and creating the blueprint of the unified script in which they are all read. The Prophet, peace be upon him, had established and recited in several recitations- which cannot be unified- distributed among a few Mushafs, recognizing that all of them were original forms of the Quran. Then, each Mushaf was sent to the various regions with a skilled, official reciter. This precise and regulated endeavor had another essential goal: removing the possibility of difference and discord in it in totality. This process is distinguished for being comprehensive with strict precision regarding transmission and preservation, verbally and in writing. This is described by the narrator with extreme detail, accuracy, and honesty of transmission and the authenticity of the narration. The Uthmani Mushafs have played a fundamental role in history of the nation; but rather in the history of the whole world, as it has spread to the corners of the world, and continues to impact us today and beyond.
