|a أحدثت الأزمة الوبائية كوفيد-19 ركود عميق على مستوى مختلف الأنشطة الاقتصادية، ومن بينها صناعة التأمين، حيث انخفض الطلب على التامين بنسبة 6% سنة 2020، وهذا نتيجة لانخفاض الطلب على العديد من المنتجات التأمينية التي تتعلق بالادخار سواء للأفراد أو المؤسسات؛ وذلك نتيجة لارتفاع معدلات البطالة وانخفاض الدخل. أما فيما يتعلق بأنواع التأمين الأخرى (غير الحياة) فإن أكثر أنواع التأمين التي ستتعرض لانخفاض الطلب عليها هي تأمين السيارات وتأمين السفر والتأمينات المرتبطة بالأعمال التجارية؛ وبالتالي ستكون تلك الفروع التأمينية هي الأكثر تضررا على بالأداء العام لأسواق التأمين.
