|b To express affective purposes, Baule language uses hypocoristics denominations to name individuals (human or animals) as all the world's languages do. However, the creation method of hypocoristics in baule is different from what is commonly seen elsewhere. Really, in European languages like french or romanian the most productive creation processes of hypocoristics are truncation, reduplication, derivation and conventional hypocoristics words. Baoulé language seems only to admit one hand conventional hypocoristics and in the other hand some contextual hypocoristics use. This paper consists on introducing the conventional hypocoristics setup in baule before focusing on certain hypocoristics use of marquers not specifically created for that purpose. We follow a synchronic trend based on empirical facts. The politeness theory and phonstylistics are call upon to serve as theoritical basis of the analysis
|d Comme toutes les langues du monde, le baoulé fait usage de dénominations hypocoristiques pour traduire l'affect vis-à-vis de la personne (humaine ou animale) nommée. Cependant, le mode de création des hypocoristiques semble différer de ce qu'il est commun d'observer ailleurs. En effet, dans les langues européennes telles que le français ou le roumain, les procédés de création des hypocoristiques les plus productifs sont là troncation, le redoublement, la dérivation ou les termes conventionnellement hypocoristiques. Le baoulé semble n'autoriser que l'usage d'hypocoristiques conventionnalisés d'une part et des emplois hypocoristiques contextuels d'autre part. Ce travail consiste donc à présenter l'organisation du système hypocoristique conventionnel du baoulé avant d'insister sur certains emplois hypocoristiques de marqueurs non spécifiquement créés dans ce but. L'approche est synchronique et repose sur des faits empiriques. La théorie de la politesse et la phonostylistique sont convoquées pour servir de base théorique à l'analyse
