|a هدفت الدراسة للتعرف على دوافع استخدام الأطفال لمنصات التواصل الاجتماعي والإشباعات التي تحققها بالاعتماد على المنهج المسحي من خلال إجراء دراسة عينة من الأطفال المقيمين في المملكة العربية السعودية، الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 13 وأقل من 18 عاما، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها: أن نسبة 63.6% من الأطفال عينة الدراسة يستخدمون منصات التواصل منذ خمس سنوات أو أكثر، مما يشير إلى أهمية توجيه الاستخدام المبكر للأطفال بطرق آمنة، كما أن منصة اليوتيوب هي الأكثر تفضيلا بنسبة 85.2%، مما يعكس تفضيل الأطفال للمحتوى المرئي والمختصر على هذه المنصات، وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة تعزيز الرقابة الأبوية على الأطفال أثناء استخدامهم لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي. مع توضيح المميزات والعيوب المرتبطة بكل منصة، وتشجيعهم على متابعة المحتوى المفيد وتجنب إضاعة الوقت على هذه المنصات.
|b The study aimed to identify the motives behind children’s use of social media platforms and the gratifications they achieve, relying on the survey approach by conducting a study of a sample of children residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aged between 13 and less than 18 years. The study reached a set of results, the most important of which is that 63.6% of the children in the study sample have been using social media platforms for five years or more, which indicates the importance of directing early use of children in safe ways. YouTube is also the most preferred platform, at 85.2%. Reflecting children’s preference for visual and short content on these platforms, the study recommended the need to strengthen parental control over children while they use social media sites. Explaining the advantages and disadvantages associated with each platform, Encourage them to follow useful content and avoid wasting time on these platforms.
