المستخلص: تعتبر الخرائط الذهنية وسيلة تعبيرية عن الأفكار بدلا من الاقتصار على الكلمات فقط وهى صورة من صور التفكير البصرى والذي يعد أحد مستويات التفكير العليا، حيث يستخدم الإنسان في الخرائط الذهنية الأشكال والرموز والألوان بشكل بسيط وبأسلوب ييسر عليه عملية استدعاء الأفكار، وهذه الطريقة هي الطريقة الفعلية التي يستخدمها العقل البشرى في التفكير، فقد نجد أن الغالبية العظمى من الناس يعتمدون على استخدام أحد فصى المخ أكثر من الآخر "طبقا للعديد من الدراسات التي أجريت في هذا المجال"، ولكن نجد أن الخريطة الذهنية هي أسلوب في التفكير يعمل على تشغيل فصي المخ في وقت واحد، فالفص الأيمن من المخ يشمل عمليات التفكير مثل الخيال، الألوان، الرسومات المشاعر، بينما يشمل الفص الأيسر من المخ عمليات التفكير القائمة على الحسابات المنطق الأرقام، ولما كانت الأساليب المتبعة في تدريس مواد التصميم التي يستخدمها عادة ذهن الطالب عند تسجيل المعلومات والأفكار تعمل على تحفيز المهارات الذهنية للنصف الأيسر من المخ. أما مهارات النصف الأيمن فلا يتم استخدامها مما يعمل على إهدار جزء كبير من طاقة الطالب الإبداعية. إن من أبرز أهداف التعليم هو رفع مستوى التفكير عند الطالب ليصل إلى التمكن من خلال ممارسة عمليات التفكير المجرد وبناء على ذلك فإن الطالب يحتاج إلى المعرفة لكي يستطيع أن يفكر جيدا ويتعامل بطريقة صحيحة مع مختلف المشكلات التي تواجهه، ولكن الكثير من الطلاب لا يجيدون استخدام معارفهم السابقة وترجمة ما بين أيديهم من عناصر تشكيلية وخطط لونية وأساليب تقنية إلى أفكار تصميمية مقبولة رغم توفر المعلومات والمعرفة لديهم ويعود السبب في ذلك إلى عدم تمكنهم من استرجاع المعلومات المخزنة مسبقا. لذا يهدف البحث إلى تعليم طريقة رسم الخرائط الذهنية لطلاب التصميم لمساعدتهم على تنظيم أفكارهم والمعطيات الفنية التي تم الحصول عليها في مرحلة جمع المعلومات مما يسهل عليهم مرحلة تخيل الشكل النهائي المفترض أن تكون عليه الفكرة التصميمية.

Mind maps are an expressive means of ideas and schemes instead of being limited to words only, and it is a form of visual thinking, which is one of the higher levels of thinking. This method is the actual method used by the human mind to think, as we may find that the vast majority of people rely on the use of one hemisphere of the brain more than the other, according to many studies conducted in this field, but we find that the mind map is a method of thinking that works on Operating the two hemispheres of the brain simultaneously, the right hemisphere of the brain includes thinking processes such as imagination, colors, graphics, feelings, while the left hemisphere includes thinking processes based on calculations, logic, numbers. And since the methods used in teaching design materials that the student’s mind usually uses when recording information and ideas work to stimulate the mental skills of the left hemisphere of the brain, while the skills of the right hemisphere are not used, which wastes a large part of the student’s mental and creative energy, which can be exploited in creating Contemporary design ideas characterized by uniqueness and originality. One of the most important goals of education is to raise the level of thinking of the student to reach mastery through the practice of abstract thinking processes. Accordingly, the student needs knowledge in order to be able to think well and deal correctly with the various problems he faces, but many students are not good at using their knowledge and translating what they have in their hands of plastic elements, color schemes and technical methods into acceptable design ideas despite the availability of information and knowledge they have, and the reason for this is that they are unable to retrieve previously stored information. Therefore, the research aims to teach the method of drawing mental maps for design students to help them organize their ideas and the technical data obtained in the information collection stage, which facilitates the stage of imagining the final form that the design idea is supposed to be.
