|b Resistance movements around the world enjoy a set of privileges and rights granted by international law, both customary and written. However, the subjection of these legal norms to colonial powers dominance in the global system has made them vulnerable to various distortions, causing the rights and legitimate demands of occupied peoples to be lost in the process. In this context, Israel exploited Al- Aqsa Flood operation to portray the resistance as a terrorist group without the legitimacy of armed struggle. Israel sought to grant itself legitimacy for the killing, intimidation, and displacement activities it practices on the Gaza Strip under the guise of self-defense, transforming it into state terrorism in a way that accepts field facts while contradicting international human rights laws.
