المثل عند العرب وأحد من الفنون الأدبية العريقة، وهو فضلاً عما يوصف به الأدب الرفيع من جودة التعبير وقوة المعنى واستيفاء الدلالة على الحدث خير تعبير عن عمق التجربة الإنسانية، لذا قالوا فيه "كفاك من علم الأدب أن تروي الشاهد والمثل" وقالوا أيضاً ولذلك صرنا نجد البيت من الشعر قد سار ولم يسر ما هو أجود منه كذلك المثل السائر (البيان والتبيين 1/ 86، 1/ 20) فعدوا المثل بمستوى القصيدة الخالدة، بل عدوا القصيدة مثلاً إذا كانت خالدة. ومن أجل ذلك عمدت إلى دراسة المثل في واحد من أكبر الأسفار الخالدة في التاريخ، ذلكم هو شرح كلام أمير المؤمنين- عليه السلام- في نهج البلاغة فبنيت البحث على ثلاثة مباحث مسبوقة بهذا الملخص ومختومة بنتائج وملخص في اللغة الإنكليزية وقائمة بهوامش البحث ومصادره. فكان المبحث الأول لعرض أهمية المثل وقيمته بين الفنون الأدبية الأخرى والثاني: عرضت فيه تركيب الجملة في المثل ودلالتها. أما المبحث الثالث: فقد أظهرت الجوانب اللغوية الأخرى التي جعلت النص مركباً لغوياً شاملاً لأصالة التعبير الأدبي بوصفه نصاً أدبياً كالجوانب الصوتية والصرفية والاشتقاقية والنحوية.
As for the Arabs, proverb represents one of the deep-rooted literary arts. It is not only a feature of high ranking literature which uses a good style to express ideas and powerful meaning as well as indicating events but also it is the best way of showing the human experience impact. Thus, it is said 1 "it is enough literary knowledge for you to mention the proof and proverb". It is also said "we have found that the line of poetry has been used better than anything else and so has the proverb". Proverb has been considered on the same level with immortal poems. Furthermore, the poem was used as a proverb if it was immortal. This motivated me to study proverb in one of the greatest immortal books throughout history, the explanation of the speech of Ameerul- Mu'mineen (the prince of believers) peace be upon him, in Nahjul- Balagha. So, the research is elucidated over three sections preceded by a summary and concluded by results and a summary in English as well as a bibliography. The first section shows the importance of proverb and its location among other literary arts. The second expounds the proverbial sentence structure and its denotation. The third section reflects other linguistic aspects, which made the literary text a comprehensive linguistic composition due to its authentic literary phrasing in its capacity as a literary text stands on equal footing with syntactic, derivative, morphological and phonetic aspects. Allah may grant success to all in the service of the Holy Koran language.
