المستخلص: This study aims at exposing the relationship between environment, national security, and sustainable development. This study is achieved due to the fact that there is a complementary relationship between security and environment especially with the progress of scientific and industrial revolution that accompanied the emergence of new sources of income such as oil and other natural resources in many countries of the world as well as the establishment of several large industrial facilities and that for the pursuit of development to provide prosperity for their peoples. There is no doubt that the process of providing security in urban communities leads to the achievement of its ambitious plans for development, which is now synchronized with the vast development of technological and technical knowledge. Development today is characterized by diversity and inclusion, for development is no longer limited on one side, but included aspects of economic, industrial, cultural, environmental and political resources. In this sense, the role of security agencies assigned to maintain security has been growing, for they have become the main pillar underlying all forms of development and its components. The process of correlation and connection between security and development is integral and constitutes one whole.
