في عالم التربية اليوم حديث يحتل مكان الصدارة عن الدور المتغير للمعلم فقد انتقل من مجرد القيام بدور الناقل للمعرفة والمرجع للمعلومات والمدرب على الحفظ والتلقين إلى دور المرشد والموجه والمعين على اكتساب مهارات التعلم الذاتي وهو بهذا يدخل عصراً جديدا يمكن إن يوصف بأنه دور " التمهير " بدلا من " الحفظً والتفهيم " فقد كان من المعتقد قديما إن إلمام المعلم بالمادة يعد وحده كافي لنجاحه لكن تغيرت النظرة لمعنى التدريب نتيجة للتغيرات في نظريات التعلم فبدلا من إن يكون ناقلا للمعرفة أصبح منظماً لعملية التعلًم .وانطلاقا من أهًداف وفروض البحث في التعرف على تأثير استخدام التدريس المصغر في تنمية بعض مهارات التدريس العامة التي يتمتع بها الطلبة المطبقين وكذلك معرفة دلالات الفروق بين متوسطي الدرجات التي يحصل عليها الطلبة المطبقين في المجموعة الضابطة والتجريبية في الاختبار القبلي والبعدي اعتمد الباحث المنهج التجريبي والاختبار والقياس وسيلة لجمع البيانات بعد أن طبق على عينة من طلبة المرحلة الرابعة في الكلية التربوية المفتوحة –مركز النجف والبالغ عددهم 20 طالبا وقد توصل الباحث إلى الاستنتاجات التالية: 1-لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات الطلاب المدرسين أفراد المجموعة الضابطة في مهارات التنفيذ بين التطبيق القبلي والبعدي 2 - توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط الدرجات في التطبيق القبلي والبعدي وذلك في مهارات التقويم ومن خلال ذلك أوصى الباحث بما يلي: 1 - ضرورة إعادة النظر في محتوى مادة طرائق التدريس وكيفية تنفيذه بشكل يزيد من فاعليته وذلك بالتدريب على استخدام تلك المهارات حتى يعتاد عليها الطلاب المدرسين وتصبح منطلقا لتدريسهم بعد ذلك 2 - ضرورة الاهتمام ببرنامج التدريس المصغر عند إعداد الطلاب المدرسيين في كليات التربية والاستفادة بالإمكانات المتاحة مثل الدائرة التلفزيونية ووحدة التقنيات التربوية وغير ذلك \
