المستخلص: Economical and managerial thought pays its attention to water problem as one of the main global and modern prob-lems due to its crisis at all levels: national, regional and inter-national. Yemen is among these countries who suffer severe water crisis due to the big gap between the volume of water availa-ble (supply side) and demand on water for different uses. This crisis could be seen as follows: 1.Weakness in providing healthy, clean and safe water for Urban and rural population. 2.Depletion of deep water reservoirs. 3.Different types of pollution for deep and surface water with dangerous economical and social effects now and in the future. However, this will exacerbate the problem when the demand increase for water in the future. For these reasons and others, there is a need to explore the magnitude of this crisis, its main reasons, effects, existing and future dimensions and the role of resources management in facing it, and water management in particular to diagnose the factual situation with some proposals for water manage-ment development These are the essence of this study which clarifies its objectives and importance.
