اشتمل الباب الأول على أهمية الحركة وممارستها من قبل الأطفال لما لها من دور مهم في تنمية عقولهم وفكرهم، كما هدف البحث إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين الذكاء والقدرات الحركية لدى رياض الأطفال بعمر 4- 6 سنوات واشتمل الباب الثاني على دراسة الذكاء بصورة عامة وعند الأطفال ما قبل المدرسة بصورة خاصة كما اشتمل أيضاً على دراسة القدرات الحركية الأساسية للأطفال بعمر 4- 6 سنوات، وتم في الباب الثالث استخدام المنهج الوصفي وكانت عينة البحث الأطفال بعمر 4- 6 سنوات والبالغ عددهم (60) طفلاً من دار رياض الأطفال الحكومية وكانت الإجراءات الميدانية تطبيق اختبار للذكاء الذي شمل على جزئيين صوري ولفظي وكل جزء يتكون من (45) صورة وعبارة لفظية وتم أيضاً تطبيق اختبار القدرات الحركية والتي تتكون من (5) اختبارات هي (القفز من الثبات من وسط حسابي- التوازن- المسك- الرمي- الركض) مع استخدام الوسائل الإحصائية الملائمة وانحراف معياري ومعامل ارتباط بيرسون ولتحقيق هدف البحث كان الباب الرابع عرض ومناقشة النتائج الإحصائية والتي أسفرت عن وجود علاقة ارتباط معنوية بين الذكاء والقدرات الحركية (التوازن- الرمي- المسك- الركض- القفز) وهذا ما تم استنتاجه في الباب الخامس. \
