المستخلص: Travels enjoy significance in historical studies, for they augmented there studies; this fact is given in various periodicals. The researcher found it important to study the travels and their backgrounds in addition to the results they realized, and the analyses and conclusions attempted in a detailed way. Also, the study has not included a list of all travels to Iraq, for these are extensive and it is hard to make this. Instead, a classification of the travels in made, a classification, which depended on certain factors and bases. The chronology is taken into consideration in addition to the effect of these travels on Iraqi society.
