تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة الدور الفعال للوسائل التعليمية في دروس الجغرافية للصف الخامس الابتدائي، إذ يعد التعليم الابتدائي القاعدة الواسعة لمرحلة التعليم المختلفة كافة، والمجتمع الحديث لا يمكنه أن يتقدم ويتطور في كل المجالات المادية والتكنولوجية والحضارية دون تنمية وتطوير موارده البشرية ويعد (التلاميذ) أهم هذه الموارد لذا يفترض بمعلم الجغرافية أن لا يترك أذهان الطلبة فارغة من الصور الحقيقة للأشياء التي يدرسها لهم ويطلب منهم تخيلها وذلك باستعمال الوسائل التعليمية وكلما كانت أكثر فاعلية زادت من نشاط التلاميذ ووعيهم بالبيئة التي يعيشون فيها لأنهم شباب الغد، وإعدادهم لخدمة مجتمعهم ووطنهم وقد أشارت النتائج إلى أن علم الجغرافية من العلوم التي تعتمد اعتمادا كبيراً على الجانب العلمي وأن المشاهدة البصرية إضافة إلى بقية الحواس تدعم وترسخ المادة في ذهن التلميذ أكثر من الجوانب النظرية وبهذا تحقق الأهداف التي يسعى معلمو الجغرافية تحقيقها.
The present study aims at investigating the active role of educational means geography lessons at 5th class of primary school education is considered to be the main ground of educational at different levels. Modern societies cannot develop and progress in all its materialistic, technological and cultural fields without developing their human resources. Students are considered to be one of the most important sources, so it is supposed that geography teachers should not leave student's mind empty of real images of things that they teach and they should ask the students to imagine those images by using the educational means. The more active these means are, the more active and understand, of surrounding environment these students will be. This is of course due to the fact that students will be the young's of tomorrow and they should be able to serve their societies and country. The results show that geography science is one of the sciences that depends heavily on the practical side (educational means field study) and that the visual aids, together with other senses, support and deep root the material in students minds more than the theoretical side, so by this teachers of geography can
