استهدف البحث الحالي معرفة الأمن النفسي وعلاقته بالتوافق النفسي والاجتماعي لدى طلاب معهد إعداد المعلمين/نينوى من خلال تحقيق الأهداف الآتية: 1-قياس مستوى الأمن النفسي لدى طلاب معهد إعداد المعلمين/نينوى. 2-التعرف على مستوى التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي لدى طلاب معهد إعداد المعلمين/نينوى. 3-الكشف عن العلاقة بين الأمن النفسي والتوافق النفسي والاجتماعي لدى طلاب معهد إعداد المعلمين/نينوى. حدد الباحث مجتمع البحث بحيث تضمن جميع طلاب معهد إعداد المعلمين /نينوى للعام الدراسي ٢٠٠٨_٢٠٠٩م، وقد بلغ العدد الإجمالي لمجتمع البحث (٤٣٦) طالبا. أما عينة البحث فقد تألفت من (٢١٨) طالبا حيث يؤلف مجموع العينة ٥٠% من المجموع الكلي لمجتمع البحث اختيروا بطريقة العينة العشوائية البسيطة. اعتمد الباحث على الأداتين الآتيتين: 1-مقياس الأمن النفسي الذي أعده مطلك (١٩٩٤). 2-مقياس التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي الذي بناه جابر (١٩٩٥). وقد تأكد الباحث من صدق اختبار الأمن النفسي من خلال إيجاد الصدق الظاهري واستخرج الثبات بأسلوب إعادة الاختبار فبلغ قيمته (٨١ ,٠) كما تم التأكد من صدق مقياس التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي من إيجاد الصدق الظاهري و استخرج الثبات وتم احتسابه بإعادة الاختبار وبلغت قيمته (٧٨, ٠). واستخدم الباحث معامل ارتباط بيرسون والاختبار التائي والنسبة المئوية. أما أهم نتائج البحث فهي: 1-تمتع طلاب معهد أعداد المعلمين بالأمن النفسي حيث كان متوسط درجات الطلاب أعلى من المتوسط النظري للمقياس، حيث أن الدرجات العالية تدل على الشعور بالأمن النفسي والدرجات المنخفضة تدل على عدم الشعور بالأمن النفسي. 2-كان متوسط درجات الطلاب على مقياس التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي أعلى من المتوسط النظري للمقياس وبالتالي ارتباطها بعلاقة موجبة (طردية ) مع درجاتهم بالشعور بالأمن النفسي. \
The current paper deals with the concept of the psychological security and its relation with the psychological and social adjustment of Nineveh teacher training institute through the following aims: 1)Measuring the psychological security level of these students. 2)Knowing the level of the psychological and social adjustment of the students. 3)Finding out the relation between the psychological security and the psychological and social adjustment of the students. The researcher has chosen the field of research that provides all the students to be examined. All the data of the research are the students of 2008-2009 and the total number of the students is (436) Which makes 50%of whole number of the society of the research, all the students have been chosen haphazardly. To analyze the data, The researcher has used the following models: 1)The psychological security measurment by Mutlak(1994). 2)The psychological and social adjustment measurement by Jabir (1995). The researcher has examined the validity of the psychological security measurement through finding the face validity and found out reliability y using T. Retest method and its percentage was 0.81. The researcher has also examined the validity of the measurement psychological and social adjustment from finding the face validity and finding reliability which was counted using the T. Retest method and its percentage was 0,78 , The researcher has used Pearson's correlation coefficient and T. test and the percentage. The researcher has come up with the result that: 1)The students did have the psychological security and the average of the students was higher than of theoretical arithmetic mean where the high degrees mean there is psychological security and the low degrees mean there is no psychological security. 2)The students arithmetic mean according to psychological and social adjustment measurement was higher than of theoretical arithmetic consequently it is comected positively with the level of their feeling of the psychological security \
