استهدف البحث الحالي قياس الوعي البيئي لدى طلبة كلية التربية ولجميع الأقسام (علمي وإنساني) (ذكوراً وإناثًا). وبلغت عينة البحث (456) طالباً وطالبة من مجتمع كلية التربية في الدراسة الصباحية للعام الدراسي (2006-2007). أما أداة البحث فقد وقع الاختيار على مقياس الوعي البيئي الذي استخدمه (الدخيل، 2000) والذي تكون من (64) فقرة موزعة على بعدين أولهما: معلومات بيئية تتضمن (30) فقرة من نوع (الاختيار من متعدد رباعي البدائل)، وثانيهما: الاتجاه نحو البيئة وتضمن (34) فقرة لكل فقرة خمسة تقديرات حسب طريقة ليكرت. وتم إيجاد معامل الصدق والثبات ليصبح المقياس جاهزا للتطبيق على عينة البحث. بعد إجراءات تطبيق أداة البحث على الطلبة وجمع البيانات ومعاملتها إحصائياً باستخدام الوسائل الإحصائية (الاختبار الزائي للنسب المئوية) أشارت النتائج تدني المستوى العام للوعي البيئي لدى طلبة كلية التربية. حيث بلغت النسبة المئوية للمعدل العام (63.5%) قياساً بالمحك الفرضي (70%) مع حصول تباين من قسم إلى آخر. ولم يظهر فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعاً لمتغير الجنس (ذكوراً وإناثًا) ولا وفق التخصص (علمي وإنساني).
The present research aims at identifying the level of environmental consciousness among students in the Educational College in all departments and its relation to other variables, namely gender and type of department. The sample of research has consisted of (456) students (273 females and 183 males) during the academic year (2006 -2007). To bring about the aims of the research, the researcher prepared the scale of the environmental consciousness which consists of (64) items. The present research aim at measuring the level of environmental consciousness among the male and female students in the scientific and human departments in the college of education and its relation to other variables, namely gender and type of department. The instrument of the research has been the scale of the environmental consciousness put by (AL Badrany, 2004) that depends on the scale of (AL Dakhil, 2000) which consists of (64) item distributed on two level of them: environmental information including (30) items chosen from four alternative, the environment which contains (34) items; for each item five reports according to the method of Likert. After applying the research’s instrument on the students, gathering the data and assessing it using the statistical means (the Z_ test of the percentage related to the mathematic averages of the students answers and on the measurement of the environmental consciousness. The results have indicated a decrease in the general level of the environmental consciousness among the students in the college of education measured by the hypothetical style (70%) by the cooperation among the departments. There have not been any differences according to the variable of sex (male and females) and the scientific specialty.
