|b The Turkish approach to the Horn of Africa comes within the new general interest in the Black Continent from Cairo to Cape Town. It has political, economic (commercial and investment) and even security implications. It also raises humanitarian slogans to help the countries of the region, which actually suffer from internal political, economic and ethnically social problems, in addition to complicated inter-state disputes. \ These countries also have issues related to foreign powers, such as the US, Israel, Europe and China. However, the region – with 180-million population, five-million square kilometers and un-invested agricultural and cattle treasures – still offers great chances for Ankara. The latter has a rising economy; enjoys an insightful leadership with new, multi-faceted visions in foreign policy; has a close geographical location; adopts humanitarian slogans; and follows economic motives void of any colonial \ heritage. \ The paper sheds light on the political, economic and humanitarian aspects of Ankara’s approach to Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda. \ It is concluded that the new concern paves the way for more progress from Turkey and further opportunities from the Africans. This strategic geographical space has enormous amounts of fresh water as well as commercial and investment potentials. \
