المستخلص:	Somalia is considered as a top priority in the external policy of Ethiopia .This is due to their being neighbours and because of their religious diversity Most important in their bilateral relations is the ever- unresolved problem of the Ogaden territory which continued between the two countries. This study deals with the Ethiopian “ political thought towards the present situations in Somalia ;and the plans of Adis " Ababa to endorse them to serve her strategic goals. The study tackled in details the aims and justification of the Ethiopian military intervention to support the transitional government in Somalia.
