ترتكز هذه الدراسة على فكرة أساسية مفادها إن التغير المستمر في حاجات ورغبات الزبائن المتنوعة يؤدي إلى زيادة شدة المنافسة بين منظمات الأعمال، الأمر الذي يقود المنظمات إلى ضرورة تبني تقنيات ونظم حديثة في التصنيع بهدف تعزيز مركزها التنافسي وبالتالي زيادة أرباحها. يتجلى هدف الدراسة بعرض إطار نظري لموضوع تكنولوجيا التصنيع الفعال ومعرفة مكوناته ومستلزمات تطبيقه في بيئة المنظمات الصناعية العراقية، استعان الباحث لأجله بالمتوفر في أدبيات الموضوع كما تضمنت الدراسة جانبا تطبيقيا استند على فرضيات رئيسة وأخرى فرعية تناول قسم منها تشخيص علاقات الارتباط بين مكونات تكنولوجيا التصنيع الفعال وأداء العمليات بمؤشراته، واهتم القسم الآخر بتشخيص علاقات الأثر بين مكونات تكنولوجيا التصنيع الفعال ومؤشرات أداء العمليات وتم اختيار معمل خياطة الألبسة الرجالية في النجف موقعا لإجراء الدراسة واستخدمت في الدراسة أدوات إحصائية متعددة لتحليل ومعالجة البيانات باستخدام الحزمة الإحصائية (10-SPSS) وتوصلت الدراسة إلى وجود علاقات ارتباط وتأثير بين متغيراتها. احتل متغير تقانة المعلومات المرتبة الأولى في علاقات الارتباط والتأثير في أداء العمليات قياسا بالمتغيرات الأخرى مما يشير إلى الأهمية الكبيرة لتقانة المعلومات في عمليات التصنيع الفعال. تمخضت الدراسة عن توصيات لتبني تكنولوجيا التصنيع الفعال في المعمل وفق المبادئ العلمية الصحيحة مع ضرورة الإحاطة بكل التطورات التكنولوجية من أجل زيادة مستوى أداء العمليات في المعمل، فضلا" عن التوصيات والمقترحات الأخرى.
