يحظى موضوع التأهيل العلمي والتدريب العلمي في تخصص المكتبات والمعلومات باهتمام متزايد من قبل جميع المهتمين بحقل المكتبات والمعلومات، نظراً لما يعرفه العالم اليوم من انفجار هائل للمعلومات، أصبحت فيه سبل السيطرة على كيفية تنظيمها، واستعمالها بصورة فعالة، وبالسرعة اللازمة تشكل واحدة من الاهتمامات الرئيسية لدى العديد من الدول وبينها الجزائر. من هنا زاد الاهتمام بتكوين الموارد البشرية العاملة في حقل المعلومات وفق اتجاهات التخصص الحديثة في جميع الجوانب النظرية والعملية التطبيقية حسب أسس منهجية وبرامج علمية مرنة، ووسائل تعليمية حديثة، تضمن إكساب المتعلم المعارف والقدرات الكفيلة بجعله قادراً على استيعاب التحولات والتغيرات التي فرضتها تكنولوجيا المعلومات على مهنة المعلومات. ويجتهد البحث بالتعريف ببرامج التأهيل الحالية في تخصص المكتبات والمعلومات النظرية منها، والعملية، ومدى مسايرتها للتطورات التي تعرفها المهنة المكتبية المعاصرة. كما يحاول أن يبين من خلال دراسة ميدانية، موقف أخصائي المعلومات من التأهيل العلمي والتدريب العملي الذي يتلقاه في اختصاص المكتبات بالجزائر، نقدمها عبر عينة تتكون من أساتذة، ومكتبيين، وطلبة في الاختصاص. هذه الموضوعات يتناولها البحث من خلال زاويتين: الأولى وصفية تسعى للتعريف بالبرامج المعتمدة حاليا في التكوين، والثانية تحليلية، وهي دراسة ميدانية أجريت بمدينة قسنطينة بهدف التعرف على موقف أخصائي المعلومات حول التكوين في اختصاص المكتبات والمعلومات.
The subject of scientific qualification and training in the field of information and library science gets an increasing interest from the part of all information and library science specialists. This is due to the fact that the world faces at present an exceptional information explosion which has pushed many countries to recognize the necessity to handle well this resource from the point of view of fast efficient arrangement and use. Algeria is among these countries which give more and more importance to the training of human resources who activate in the field of information. Training should be adapted to the modem orientations of the discipline in relation to all theoretical and practical sides and in respect to flexible scientific methodologies and programmes, and up-to-date teaching supports. This can help the trainee to acquire knowledge and the skills that enable him/her "to assimilate" the shifts and the changes imposed by information technologies upon this profession. This research will portray the present training programmes in use in the field of information and library science on the theoretical and practical sides. It will evaluate to which extent these programmes cope with the contemporary library professional development. This research will also highlight, through a survey, the view of information specialists toward scientific qualification and training provided in Algeria. This view is expressed by teachers, librarians and students in library science and who constitute the sample of our survey. Our work will cover these topics from two sides. The first one will be descriptive presenting the training programmes in use. The second one will be analytical resulting from a survey led in Constantine and emphasizing the information specialists` view about training in information and library science.
