المستخلص: This study aims at investigating the stylistic construction of the syntactic structures in Arabic according to the modern linguistic points of view . It deals with syntax and semantics as two important aspects of studying Arabic where none of the grammarians denies that the construction of the syntactic structures consists of two parts ; the subject and the object that are expressed by Sibewaih as none occurs without being accompanied by the other . He elaborates on the levels speech construction ; Al – Mustaqim , Al – Hasin , Al – Kabeeeh and Al – Muhad , by which he establishes the first theory that later on governs the research in syntax . This study tries to denote to the diversity of the syntactic structure and that of the vocabulary item from which it is composed . For instance , the syntactic structure may consist of two nouns , a verb and a noun , two structures , a verb and a noun plus a prepositional phrase or an adverb , a verb and three nouns … etc . , by which the type and the form of that syntactic structure is determined . While studying these structures , the researcher identifies certain terms such as the simplified , the extended , the interrelated , the double , and the interwoven structures . This study proves that the number of the elements from which the syntactic structure is constructed do not exceed more than three elements . these are the noun , the verb , and the letter in spite of diversity of its types and forms . This leads the researcher to investigate the contruction of the syntactic structure and its types real and symbolic refrences and to apply them to a large number of literary texts and syntactic evidence as governed by the texts of the Qura’an . The researcher accordingly explains that stylistics deals with the construction of the syntactic structure as an important element when studying the characteristics that from the text .

The researcher states that the aspects of modernism cannot be expressed in the syntactic and semantic studies away from the realization of the elements of the heritage and the investigation of their originality although our estimation of that heritage does not prevent as from making objective assessment on the basis of modern speculation . The emergence of the level upon which we depend to construct the syntactic structure should not be limited neither to the agreement of construction of that structure with the linguistic rules nor to the absence of this agreement because each structure has its own characteristics that present its creative feature either with its agreement or disagreement with the linguistic rule and according to what surrounds it such as the situation , the setting and the intended purpose . The researcher divides his dissertation into three chapters preceded by introduction and ended with conclusions . The introduction presents the relationship between syntax and semantics in order to introduce the scope of this topic and its details . The first chapter is devoted to the study of the syntactic relations and its basics . It falls into three sections . The first studies the concept , types and forms of the syntactic structure . The second explains the methods of understanding the meaning of the structure . The third shows how meaning is expressed by the structure . The second chapter introduces the levels of constructing the syntactic structure . It also falls into three sections . The first is about the construction of the declarative , statement and the request structures . The second shows the additive meaning techniques . The third studies the level of construction regarding the apparent meaning of the text and its interpretation . The third chapter studies within three sections the conformity of the structure to the situation . The first deals with the arrangement of the parts of the structure . The second identifies the use and the neglegance of using the verbs and articles . The third is concerned with the style , context and setting . The study ends with the conclusions that the researcher arrives at through his research and the obtained results followed by bibliography of the sources reviewed both in Arabic and English .
