His book “Tafsir Al-Libab Fi Ulum Al-Kitab” consists of many linguistic issues such as: Grammar, phonetics, morphology and semantics. The dissertation consists of an introduction and four chapters. The introduction is dedicated to deal with Al-Dimashqi’s life and book. The first chapter “phonetic Researches” falls into four sections, as follows: Section one: Al-Ibdal “phonetic change” Section two: spatial Transposition. Section three: Al- Idgham “assimilation”. Section four: Al-Hamz. The second chapter deals with the morphological researches in two sections: Section one: vocabularies structures. Section two: pluralities. The third chapter tackles the syntactical researches in four sections: Section one: nouns. Section two: verbs & verbal nouns. Section three: prepositions. Section four: syntactical guidance. The fourth chapter is devoted to study the linguistic researches in three sections: Section one: antonymy. Section two: polysemy. Section three: vocabularies significance between etymological origin and Quranic usage. The dissertation has come up to a conclusion summarizing the final academic results here are some of them: 1-Ibn Adil has derived his linguistic issues from previous references, and he agreed with some of them and opposited others. 2-He adapted the phonetic guidance in previous Quranic readings. 3-some of the cases of spatial transposition he believes are Arabic dialects rather than spatial change.
