المستخلص:	This paper aims at showing the various interpretations of the Arabic unilateral connective the waw and its significance for students of translation and translators when translating from Arabic into English. This, in turn, will enable them to improve the quality of translation they produce. Apart from the introduction and conclusion, the work includes three parts. Part one is allocated for reviewing some works on connectivity in both Arabic and English while part two houses the approach of the work and description of the data. The analysis of the data selected will be contained in part three.
