تناول البحث مسألة أسماء سور القرآن من غير مصادرها المعتادة ككتب التفسير وعلوم القرآن، فتركز البحث حول أسماء سور القرآن عند الإمام البخاري في صحيحه وخاصة في تبويباته؛ لما لها من أهمية كبيرة لا تخفى. ويعتبر صحيح البخاري من المراجع الهامة في مسائل علوم القرآن نظراً لمكانته وتقدم مؤلفه. وبرز من خلال البحث منهج البخاري في تسمية السور فنجد أنه يسمي كل سورة باسم لها ونادراً ما يذكر عدة أسماء أو يعلل الأسماء. كما قد تعددت صيغ البخاري في تسميته للسور فتارة يسميها بمطلعها إما بكلمة أو كلمتين وربما بمطلعها من الحروف المقطعة. كما أن البخاري ذهب إلى جواز تسمية السور بإضافتها إلى الاسم المفرد ونص على ذلك في تبويباته وعليها جرى صنيعه. ومن خلال الدراسة التطبيقية برز منهج البخاري في قصده إفراد كل سورة باسم يخصها وربما اعتمد على المأثور وقد يجتهد عند عدمه. كما قام الباحث بالنظر في نسخ صحيح البخاري للاطلاع على الفروقات في تسمية السور، ومن ثم مقارنة تسمية البخاري للسور مع بعض الكتب المعاصرة في أسماء السور، ومن نتائج ذلك ظهر أنهم أحياناً يعزون اسم السورة لمصادر متأخرة بينما هي عند البخاري في الصحيح وعزوها له هو الأدق. ويأمل الباحث أن يكون هذا البحث مساهمة جادة في تصويب النظر حول المراجع الأصيلة في مختلف العلوم للاستفادة منها في تخصص الدراسات القرآنية.
The current research work investigates the subject of the names of the Holy Qur'an’s chapters (Suras) from unconventional sources like the books of Qur’anic explication and the books of the Science of Qur'an. It focuses on the names of the Holy Qur'an’s chapters in Imam Bukhari’s sahih (authentic collection of Prophetic Muhammad traditions), especially through the book’s sections because of their great, indisputable significance. Bukhari’s Sahih is one of the most important references in the science of Qur'an due to the book’s status, and the distinction of its author among early Muslim scholars. Through the discussion Bukhari’s methodology of naming the Qur'anic chapters becomes evident. He gives each chapter (sura) a specific name, and he occasionally gives several names for the same chapter, without justifying his choice of names. Bukhari’s method in naming the chapters vary as well; as he sometimes names a chapter after its first word, or two words, and on other occasions, he names it after the individual letters with which the chapter begins. Furthermore, Bukhari approved in his book naming the Qur'anic chapters by using the genitive case with the singular noun, a practice he regularly follows. The application reveals Bukhari’s methodology in designating a specific name to every chapter, basing his choices either on previous scholarly works, or on his own judgment, if no previous work existed. The researcher also investigated different copies of Bukhari’s Sahih to gain insight into the differences in naming the chapters, and then compared Bukhari’s chapters names with names listed in some contemporary books. This led to the conclusion, that researchers sometimes attribute the name of the sura to later works, while, in fact, these names are mentioned in Bukhari’s book, and thus, should be attributed to him. The researcher hopes that his research work is a significant contribution towards correcting the misconceptions that surround authentic references in various fields of knowledge in order to benefit from them in the field of Qur'anic studies.
