The study aimed to identify the ethical values of generosity in the pre-Islamic era. The study used descriptive analytical method in the treatment of poetic texts. The study was also based on a number of sources, the most important of which are the favorites for El Dabi and the poets diwans , the most important of which is the Diwan of Hatem Al-Taie. The study examined the following topics : the concept of value language and terminology, the concept of generosity language and terminology, the interest of Arabs generosity language and terminology the attention of the Arabs in generosity , pride in generosity and praising of the generous peoples , in addition to the purpose of generosity, and manifestations of generosity, and best thing to be presented to guests such widows , orphans and the poor . In addition to inviting people by all ways and incentives for generosity. The results of the study showed that praise, good memory, good reputation and purity are the reasons for supporting generosity for dominance in his people, and that with his abundance of generosity and abundance of his gift and generosity to his guest indicates the good social and tribal relations. It also seems that the concept of generosity is old and inherent in the Arab honoring the human element, so the pre-Islamic poetry praised these necessary values that he glorified them and that his poetry focused on their meanings and he left us a legacy of eternal poetry .This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على القيم الأخلاقية للكرم في العصر الجاهلي. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي في معالجة النصوص الشعرية. كما اعتمدت الدراسة على عدد من المصادر من أهمها، المفضليات للضبي، ودواوين الشعراء من أهمها، ديوان حاتم الطائي. وتناولت الدراسة المباحث التالية: مفهوم القيمة لغة واصطلاحاً، ومفهوم الكرم لغة واصطلاحا، واهتمام العرب بالكرم، والفخر بصفة الكرم ومدح الكرماء، بالإضافة إلى الغاية من الكرم، ومظاهر الكرم، وأفضل ما يقدم للضيف السخاء على الأرامل واليتامى والبائسين، ودعوة الأضياف بشتى الوسائل، فضلا عن حوافز الكرم. وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن أن الثناء والذكر الحسن والسمعة الطيبة ونقاء العرض مسببات كفيلة بترشيح الكريم إلى السيادة في قومه، وانه بكثرة سخائه ووفرة عطائه وكرمه لضيفه يدل علي حسن علاقاته الاجتماعية والقبلية.كما يبدوأن مفهوم الكرم أصيل عند العربي، قديم قدم المواقف الاجتماعية التي تنزع إلى تشريف العنصر الإنساني؛ لذلك فقد جعل الشعر الجاهلي من التغني بهذه القيم لازمة من لوازم قريحته، فمجدها وتباهي بها، وجعل شعره يصب في معانيها، وترك لنا موروثا شعريا خالدا.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
