The analysis of non-preemptive queuing system that is based on M/G/l analysis cannot be extended to the case of multiple servers systems due to the fact that there is no expression for the residual service time, which is an important parameter in the calculations of the average customer waiting time. To overcome this problem, the assumption that the service times- for all priority classes - are identically and exponentially distributed is made. Showing the necessary relations and derivations, an expression for the mean residual service time was developed. Accordingly, the analysis was extended to the multiple servers’case (multiple communication channels).
