|a Praise be to Allah, peace and blessing be upon Mohammed the honest and all his kinfolk and companions. In this Thesis, titled ( the Denotative Value of the Narratings of Poetry of Zuhair Ibn Abi Sulma), I studied the causes of difference in narrating in poetry in brief, I made a statistic of the verses that have more than narrating form. I studied each form from the language point of view including: meaning, I'rab and sarf, then I made a comparison between the narattings and weighed one to the other according to the requirements of meaning and sequence. The research plan was as follows: • Introduction. • Preface: introducing Zuhair Ibn Abi Sulma and his position in poetry, denotative value, narrating and causes of its differences and differences of narattings of poetry of Zuhair Ibn Abi Sulma. • Chapter One: Praise. Chapter Two: Other objectives of poetry; sanitization, threatening and warning, pride, description, lamenting, expostulation and wisdom. • Chapter Two: Other objectives of poetry; sanitization, threatening and warning, pride, description, lamenting, expostulation and wisdom. • Conclusions. • References. At the end of my research I would like to thank the Arabic Department at the College of Education, particularly Dr. Suhaila Taha Mohammed Al-Bayati who accepted supervising this Thesis and helped me a lot in solving the problems I faced during the research. I also thank all those who helped me to make this research successful. Our last prayer is that praise is to be to Allah ,the Creator of all and peace be upon his Prophet.
