يختص المقال الراهن بقضية مهمة شغلت المعنيين بدراسة النوع الاجتماعي؛ وهي حالة وجود المرأة وتمثيلها فيما يعرف بمواقع القيادة ودوائر صنع القرار حيث يتم التركيز على مبررات الوجود النسائي القوي في هذه المواقع، وسمات القيادة النسائية وأهميتها؛ مقارنة بالأسلوب القيادي لدى الرجل، وكذا طبيعة المعوقات التي تواجهها النساء في كل المجتمعات -المتقدمة والنامية -في سعيها للحصول على تمثيل عادل في دوائر صناعة القرار التنموي. وأخيرا يتناول المقال بعض الآليات التي يمكن الاعتماد عليها لتمكين النساء في هذا السياق.
The crux of this paper is to explore main features of women’s existence and effec¬tiveness in leadership positions. These positions sometimes named as superintenden- cey , or high ranks supervisory management locations .The paper deals with many subjective - structural and objective - personal - obstacles that may impede women from reaching and showing up effectively in these position. The paper is divided into five main sections. The first part is a conceptualiz¬ing effort to clarify what we mean by leadership positions and how it differs from other related and similar terms .The second section justifies why women are worthy of being good leaders , along with main characteristics of women leadership when compared to men. Stretching global obstacles that may prevent women from getting equal shares in such leadership positions is obvious in the third part. In the forth section we detail many arenas and fields in which Egyptian women are totally or partly excludes or marginalized from leadership positions. Finally we suggest some empowering elements that, when adopted, can help women in Egypt get their equal shares from available leadership and decisions making positions.
