المستخلص:	This paper aims to articulate the ways in which the act of bearing witness, in Nafisa Haji’s 2009 novel The Writing on My Forehead, is presented as a nodular act of introspection and retrospection, whose overarching aim is proactive self-affirmation. The testimonial venture correlative to this act is predicated on the agential potentiality of storytelling. Accordingly, the female protagonist is put forward as a “wounded storyteller,” for whom recounting her story amounts to a restorative act equated with reviving the past in a bid to achieve healing. Cet article vise à articuler les moyens par lesquels l’acte de témoigner, dans le roman de Nafisa Haji The Writing on My Forehead paru en 2009, est présenté comme un acte nodulaire d’introspection et de retrospection, dont l’objectif primordial est l’affirmation de soi. La démarche du témoignage est fondée sur la potentialité agentielle de la narration. En conséquence, la protagoniste est décrite comme un «conteur blessé », pour qui le fait de raconter sa propre histoire équivaut à un acte réparateur qui a pour objectif de faire revivre le passé pour parvenir à la guérison.
