هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الدور السياسي للاتحادات الطلابية. وسعت إلى الكشف عن أهم معالم التطور التاريخي للاتحادات الطلابية. واهتمت بالوقوف على أبعاد عملية المشاركة السياسية ومكوناتها وأنواعها وأهم المفاهيم المرتبطة بها. وساهمت في التعرف على ملامح المشاركة السياسية لطلبة الجامعات المصرية منذ عام 2007م حتى عام 2013م. وناقشت واقع مساهمة الاتحادات الطلابية في تنمية المشاركة السياسية بالجامعة وأهم العوامل والقوي المؤثرة في هذا الدور. وتطرقت إلى التوصل لبعض الآليات والمقترحات لتفعيل دور الاتحادات الطلابية بالجامعة في تنمية المشاركة السياسية.
واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 909 طالب من طلاب الفرقة الرابعة. و97 موظف من موظفين رعاية الشباب. و200 عضو من أعضاء هيئة التدريس لبعض كليات جامعات الفيوم والقاهرة والإسكندرية. وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في استبانة موجهة للطلبة وموظفي رعاية الشباب. واستبانة أخرى موجهة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس. وجاءت النتائج مشيره الى استجابة الطلاب للمعرفة بالحقائق التنظيمية والوظيفية لاتحاد الطلبة جاءت منخفضة مما يدل على أن هناك نقصا واضحا في مدى معرفتهم بالاتحاد الممثل لهم. وبالنسبة لموظفي رعاية الشباب جاءت الاستجابة منخفضة نسبيا مما يدل على حاجتهم الى التدريب وإعادة التأهيل.
وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة جعل تنمية المشاركة المدنية والسياسية للطلاب أحد المعايير الهامة لاعتماد المؤسسات التعليمية وخاصة الجامعية. والتأكيد على الاعتراف باتحاد الطلبة كجهة تنفيذية مسئولة كباقي مؤسسات الدولة ملتزمة بواجباتها تجاه الطلاب. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018


The study aimed to identify the political role of the students' unions. It sought to reveal the most important features of the historical development of students' unions. It is concerned with the dimensions of the process of political participation, its components, types and the most important concepts associated with them. It contributed to identify the features of political participation of students of Egyptian universities since 2007 until 2013. It discussed the reality of the contribution of student unions in the development of political participation in the university and the most important factors and influential forces in this role. It also turned to the achievement of some mechanisms and proposals to activate the role of university students' unions in the development of political participation.
The descriptive analytical method was used. The sample consisted of 909 students of the fourth grade, 97 youth welfare officers, and 200 faculty members of some faculties of Fayoum, Cairo and Alexandria Universities. The study tools were represented in two questionnaires; one addressed to students and youth care officers and the other addressed to faculty members. The results confirmed that the students' response to knowledge of organizational and functional realities of the students' union was low, indicating that there is a clear lack of knowledge of the union represented by them. For youth welfare officers, the response was relatively low, indicating their need for training and rehabilitation.
The study recommended that the development of civic and political participation of students should be one of the important criteria for accreditation of educational institutions, especially universities. It also emphasized the need to recognize the students' union as a responsible executive body like other state institutions that was committed to its duties towards students.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
