استهدف المقال تقديم قراءة من كتاب أكاذيب عن السلام (حرب باراك وشارون ضد الفلسطينيين). وجاء مضمون الكتاب على فترة ما بعد اتفاقية أوسلو ورصد سياسة إسرائيل منذ ولاية أهود باراك كرئيس للحكومة الإسرائيلية. واشتمل الكتاب على سبعة فصول. الفصل الأول استعرض موقف إسرائيل تجاه الانتفاضة والفلسطينيين. وتحدث الفصل الثاني عن مفاوضات كامب ديفيد. وأشار في الفصل السابع عن السعي لإسقاط عرفات وتبين ذلك في اعتراف إسرائيل رسمياً بأن هدفها هو تحطيم السلطة الفلسطينية وحكم عرفات، حيث أنها اعتبرت اتفاقيات أوسلو والحكم الذاتي الفلسطيني المحدود بمثابة (خطأ تاريخي) وهذا ما أعلن عنه شارون في أكتوبر 2001. وأوصى الكتاب بضرورة العمل على استعادة ثقة الفلسطينيين في المفاوضات من خلال انسحاب إسرائيل من الأراضي المحتلة وبعدها تبدأ المفاوضات على نقاط الاختلاف حيث أن 60% من الإسرائيليين يؤيدون ذلك. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The article aimed to provide a reading of the book of lies about peace (The War of Barak and Sharon against the Palestinians). The content of the book tackled the period after the Oslo agreement and monitored Israel's policy since Ehud Barak's term as the head of the Israeli Government. The book contained seven chapters. The first chapter reviewed Israel's position on the Intifada and the Palestinians. The second chapter talked about Camp David negotiations. In the seventh chapter however, the attempt to topple Arafat was explained. This was reflected in Israel's official acknowledgment that its goal was to destroy the Palestinian Authority and Arafat's rule, since it considered the Oslo Accords and the limited Palestinian self-ruling to be a "historic mistake", and that what was announced by Sharon in October, 2001.
