هدفت هذه الدراسة الى تبيين حدود المفهوم و الاصطلاح بين الخط العربى كفن له اصوله الفنية و عناصره الجمالية و بين الكتابة العربية في تمثيلها المادي للغة، ذلك ان المعرفة الفنية العربية الاسلامية التاريخية في وصف الفقه الجمالى للخط العربي و تحديداً في تسمية المصطلح الفنى للخط، كانت قد تباينت في تسمية الكتابة الخطية الفنية تبايناً واضحاً، فتعددت بذلك الاسماء/ الالفاظ/ المصطلحات التى اطلقت عليها، و قد توصلت الدراسة الى انه وبرغم الحداثة النسبية لمصطلح (فن الخط) الا ان هذا الاصطلاح صار المصطلح النهائى والمعاصر للمعرفة الفنية للخط العربي، من خلال الادراك المعرفى المميز للصورة الخطية الفنية المرتبطة باسس وقواعد التصميم الفنى والتشكيلي. و قد ادى التطور في الفكر وعلم النقد الفنى الى القدرة على التمييز بين المفهوم و المصطلح الجمالى للحرف العربى و بين الكتابة العربية. إذ أن مصطلح (فن الخط) كمفهوم ودلالةً، صار يذهب الى صورة الخط المرسوم ذو البعد الجمالى. و فقا للاسس والقواعد الفنية الجمالية المتوارثة والمتطورة تاريخياً و الخاصة بفن الخط العربى. بينما صار مصطلح الكتابة العربية مرتبطاً بوصف الكتابة في مظهرها اللغوى المرتبط بفقه و قواعد اللغة العربية.
This study aimed at explaining the limits of the concept and the term related to Arabic calligraphy as a fine art which has its artistic origins and its esthetical elements and written Arabic text, the materialistic representation of Arabic language. In Arabic Islamic history, Arabic calligraphy as a fine art has always been interpreted in different ways, when it comes to artistic descriptions. Specifically regarding the term “Calligraphy Art”, many different interpretations were found. Subsequently we found so many different terms and concepts describing this subject. This study came to the conclusion that in spite of the fact that the term “Calligraphy Art” was used quite recently, this term proved to be the most appropriate modern term for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy. This is reflected through the intellectual concept of calligraphy art work based on designs fundamentals. The intellectual development as well as the development of art criticism made it possible to differentiate between the concept and the term related to Arabic written text and Arabic calligraphy. Hence, the term “Calligraphy Art” as a concept refers to the calligraphy art work with its esthetical elements and values which were inherited and developed throughout history. On the other hand, the term “Arabic Writing” remained restricted to the materialistic appearance of the written Arabic language in accordance with its grammatical rules.
