المستخلص: يعد مفهوم المكتبة الرقمية في حد ذاته مثار للجدل والنقاش، فمن ناحية يستخدم مصطلح المكتبات الرقمية للدلالة على مفاهيم وتصورات متعددة، ومن ناحية أخرى يعبر عن هذا النوع من المكتبات بمصطلحات عديدة، ينطوي كل منها على دلالات مختلفة ومن أكثر هذه المصطلحات استخداما: المكتبة الإلكترونية، والمكتبة الافتراضية، والمكتبة المتشابكة، والمكتبة المتكاملة (المركبة)، ومكتبة بلا جدران، المكتبة التخيلية، المكتبة التصورية... الخ. ولتوضيح هذا الإشكال المفاهيمي؛ عمدنا إلى إجراء مسح على عدة مستويات للمصطلحات محل الدراسة (المكتبات الرقمية، المكتبات الإلكترونية والمكتبات الافتراضية) وتحليلها ومناقشتها، وتبيان أوجه التداخل والاختلاف بين هذه المصطلحات عن طريق البحث في عدة قواعد بيانات متاحة على الخط المباشر ( ) قصد استخلاص مجموعة من المؤشرات الإحصائية للترتيب الزمني لظهور المصطلحات محل البحث (المكتبات الرقمية، المكتبات الإلكترونية والمكتبات الافتراضية) في الإنتاج الفكري المتخصص، ومعرفة ما ترتيب هذه الأخيرة وفقا لمعدلات ترددها، وتمثيلها بيانيا لإعطاء رؤية بيانية واضحة لتطور المصطلح وتداخل المفاهيم، كون: أولا: أدوات الضبط البيبليوغرافي تسمح لنا برصد التسلسل الزمني لظهور مصطلحات البحث. ثانيا: معدلات تردد المصطلحات في الإنتاج الفكري له دلالة على مدى أهميتها وقوتها.

The concept of digital library enhances in itself some debate and discussions. On the one hand, the term digital library is used to express thoughts and various concepts, and, on the other hand, this same library is expressed by several terms that may have different interpretations. We can cite the most common ones such as : electronic library, virtual library, network library, library without walls, image library ...etc. To state the problem and clarify it on the conceptual side, we have led an exhaustive study at various levels related to this terms. We have essentially analyzed, discussed and highlighted common points and divergent ones. A research in different online databases has been done to gather a collection of statistical indices related to the chronology and degree of apparition of these terms in the intellectual specialized production, and to identify the occurrence of these terms in relation with the frequency of use. We have attempted to represent these concepts in a graph to show clearly the evolution of each term and the confusion between the concepts. We have relied, first, on the instruments of bibliographical control that permit to check the chronology of apparition of the studied terms. Secondly, the degree of frequency of these terms in scientific production is very significant in terms of their importance and their incidence.

Le concept de bibliothèque numérique suscite en lui-même pas mal de débat et de discussion. D’une part, le terme bibliothèque numérique est utilisé pour exprimer des pensées et divers concepts, et, d’autre part, cette même bibliothèque est exprimée par divers termes pouvant avoir de nombreuses interprétations. Nous pouvons citer les plus usuels tels que : bibliothèque électronique, bibliothèque virtuelle, bibliothèque en réseau, bibliothèque sans murs, bibliothèque imagée ...etc. Pour éclaircir cette problématique conceptuelle, nous avons mené une étude assez exhaustive à plusieurs niveaux relative à ces termes en question pour mieux les analyser, les discuter, et surtout faire apparaitre les points de rencontre et de divergence entre ces termes via une recherche dans plusieurs bases de données disponibles en ligne pour mettre au point un ensemble d’indices statistiques ayant trait à la chronologie quant au degré d’apparition de ces termes dans la production intellectuelle spécialisée pour connaitre l’occurrence de ces derniers en matière de fréquence d’utilisation. Nous avons essayé de les représenter graphiquement pour donner un aperçu clair de l’évolution du terme et l’enchevêtrement des concepts du fait que premièrement les instruments du contrôle bibliographique permettent de vérifier la chronologie quant à l’apparition des termes objets de l’étude. Deuxièmement, le degré de fréquence de ces termes dans la production scientifique est très significatif par rapport à leur importance et à leur incidence.
